2014 Domaine Faiveley Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Cote de Beaune, France 750ml

Here the more expressive nose is a bit less elegant but even more complex with its otherwise similar nose that even displays an unusual hint of orange peel. There is real volume and power to the big-bodied, concentrated and entirely serious big-bodied flavors that coat the palate with an abundance of dry extract before culminating in a driving and hugely long finale. This isn't quite as tight as the BBM but it too should age gracefully for many years to come yet my sense is that it will be approachable after only 5 to 7 years.
